No 13 Rochdale Canal Walk
Summit to Clegg Hall
Return via Hollingworth Lake and the Canal Feeder
The walk provides a Short History of the Rochdale Canal. As with the other walks it combines a pleasant walk together with descriptions of the many places passed en-route. The outward route description is based on those other History Trails which have traversed the canal towpath but combines and adds to them to offer a complete towpath walk through Littleborough. The return walk takes in Hollingworth Lake and then follows the overall route of the Feeder Canal which links the lake with the Summit Pound. Because of tunnels, bridges and other impediments the return walk doesn’t follow the Feeder Canal exactly but provides guidance to key locations. Includes coloured map of Canal Feeder
